PUBLIC WORKS REPORT-APRIL,2011
The waste treatment plant should be fully operational by the end of April. There was a delay in the shipment of lift station pumps and this caused us to push the completion date back. We should have it completed very soon!! There has been a dramatic increase in the pedestrian traffic from Hoff Elementary down Kipp Street and as such this area is a designated safe route to school. We will be installing all required school zone signs in this area very soon. Public works has a busy Spring planned!! We will get started on the tree planting and landscaping at the park, and are looking at landscaping plans for the western portion of the park and the addition of trees that are native to Colorado to help them thrive. We are also planning to paint the fire hydrant caps according to their PSI as requested by the Southeast Weld Fire Protection District and numbering them for easer identification as well.
