The windy weather, and hail  has certainly played havoc with the roofs around town.  Please check to make sure that you still have all of your shingles in place. 

Along with the wind, the rain followed by the sun has made everything bloom and grow exponentially.  Please keep your yards and weeds mowed, and trimmed. 

The highly anticipated Main Street Island removal project is now scheduled!  The tear out will begin during the week of June 14, and the new sidewalks will be poured on Saturday, June 19, 2010.  Due to scheduling difficulties, we regret that we will not be able to kick this project off with a take a swipe at the islands event.  But regardless, we are confident that many of you will enjoy the drive down Main street without having to avoid these pesky islands. 

 Please plan to attend the Chamber of Commerce Screamin’ Spring Car Show and Pie Baking Contest that is scheduled for Saturday, June 12, 2010 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.  This fun community event will take place on Main Street in the south 100 block. 

The annual fourth of July celebration will take place at dusk on July 3, 2010.  Due to the popularity of this event it has been moved; this year the display will take place at the Southeast Weld County Jr. Fair and Rodeo Grounds located at 7759 WCR 59.

As Summer approaches and outdoor activities increase, please be aware that motorized vehicles are not allowed on any public property or open space.  Motor cycles, dirt bikes, four wheelers, three wheelers, etc that are not street legal, and property licensed are not allowed on the roadways within the Town of Keenesburg.  Please be safe and operate these types of vehicles only within areas where there are allowed, i.e. tracks that exist for this purpose.
