PUBLIC WORKS REPORT-MARCH,2011
Construction on the wastewater expansion is underway, all of the cells have been completed, along with the completion of the pipe installation., the electrical is currently being installed. Thanks to Mayor Kipp for his continual efforts, and close contact with the contractors, the construction project is on schedule and will hopefully be completed by the end of March. Spring schedules are being formed for many jobs that have been given priority by the public works department to be completed this year. These plans include replacing seven outdated fire hydrants, painting the curbs by the fire hydrants, and landscaping at the park to name a few. We will be coordinating a street sweeping plan as well and will be posting notices on businesses to ask that people refrain from parking on Main Street when sweeping is planned to allow us to do the best job we can. Please keep the area around your water meter clear to assist us when reading your meters. Thank you.
