 From the Mayor

I would like to thank everyone for their support over the past two years, and ask your continued support over the next two years as I enter my second term. A resounding thank you to all voters for passing the mill levy! The additional income will help the staff in providing the necessary services for the town. I have received a lot of requests from people in town, asking for some kind of ceremony to kick off the elimination of the islands on Main Street. We will try to do some kind of event to give you a chance to say farewell to the tire getters. This project should be ready to begin the first half of June. Once again thank you!

The rain has certainly made things grow! Please keep your yards and areas around your homes trimmed and mowed.

PUBLIC WORKS REPORT FOR MAY, 2010

Mayor Kipp, staff and Trustee Leroy Blackston have finished installing the two new basketball goals at Schey Park! These new goals have 72” tempered glass backboards and are a welcome upgrade to the park. We are sure they will be enjoyed by all!

We have installed a new mulching deck to our Walker mower, which will make the mowing of the park much more efficient, and save the town time and money. We are proud to have such dedicated board members who have signed up to volunteer for the mowing of the park.

The Town of Keenesburg does have a leash law. No dogs are allowed to run around town. We have had several complaints of unleashed dogs around town. Please make sure your dogs are secure and that they are on a leash when walking them.

We would like to express our thanks for the efforts that have been made by everyone to keep their water meters accessible, we do appreciate your help!
