The Town Clerk, Toni, Pearl, recently met with a representative from the Weld County Bright Futures Grant Program. This is a “first-in” educational financial assistance program for high school graduates, GED recipients and U.S. Veterans living in Weld County. The program is funded by donations primarily from Weld County property owners who receive a property tax credit for their donation. The Board of Commissioners designed the program to financially assist students who pursue post-secondary education or training from an accredited higher-education institution or certified training program. To learn more, visit: www.weldcountybrightfutures.com or pick up a pamphlet at Town Hall.
In an effort to help our local businesses with their needs, it is imperative that we are able to identify all home-based businesses. Help us help you! By getting a town business license for a nominal fee of $15 annually this includes a business listing on the town website. We want to work with all of the local entrepreneurs and help you grow. The first step is to know what we have. Your help with this matter is truly appreciated.
Dogwood Hills Baptist Church from Palestine Texas is excited about bringing a team to Keenesburg (Schey Park) July 10th – 13th. On Sunday July 10th at 6:00pm, there will be a concert at the park.
