Where is Town Hall?
Town Hall moved in February of 2020 and is located at 91 W Broadway Avenue, which is directly behind the car wash on Market Street.
Does the Town have an after-hours payment drop-box?
Yes, the Town has a drop-box located at the Meeting Hall, which was the old Town Hall.  The address is 140 South Main Street; the drop-box is located on the north side of the building.  
What is the base water rate?

Can the park be reserved?
Please let us know if you are planning a party, reunion, etc. and we will put you on the calendar as a courtesy.  The park is a public facility and is available on a first come first serve basis.  However, if you plan to have an event with 100 or more attending, you must obtain a public property use permit.  There is no cost for this permit, liability insurance is required.

Are fire pits allowed?

The Board of Trustees previously adopted the 2018 edition of the International Fire Code with certain amendments.  The 2018 International Fire Code allows for fire pits in Sec. 307.4.3 Portable outdoor fireplaces shall be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and shall not be operated within 15 feet of a structure or combustible material.  Exception: Portable outdoor fireplaces used at one– and two-family dwellings. IFC 307.5 Attendance. Use of portable outdoor fireplaces shall be constantly attended until the fire is extinguished.  Not fewer than one portable fire extinguisher complying with Section 906 with a minimum 4-A rating or other approved on-site fire-extinguishing equipment, such as dirt, sand, water barrel, garden hose, or water truck, shall be available for immediate utilization.

 

Am I allowed to burn tree limbs and trash in my yard?

Open Burning Prohibited within the Town

The Town has been in discussion with the SE Weld Fire District and will no longer issue burn permits.  The Board of Trustees approved Ordinance 2021-02 on February 16, 2021, to prohibit open burning with the exception of burning of irrigation ditches or burning in the course of an agricultural operation for crop promotion, but any person who intends to burn for these purposes must first obtain a permit. Open burning may be restricted or prohibited on any day or at any time due to current or expected weather,  atmospheric or local conditions.
Please remember: the Town holds two free dump days in Spring and Fall to clear your yard of dead trees and limbs.

Do I need to register my dog?

Yes, registration is available at the Town Hall and will need to be done annually on May 31st of every year.  Registration can be completed in person, over the phone or through email.  $5.00 per registered dog, up to 3 dogs.  Current proof of vaccinations will be needed to register your dog.  The vaccinations needed are Rabies, Distemper and Parvo.

What type of dumpsters are allowed in Town? 

96 Gallon Dumpster:
No dumpsters or dumpster type waste containers having a capacity of more than ninety-six (96) gallons shall be allowed in an R-1 zone district or on a property within any zone district upon which a single-family dwelling is located (an "R-1 use"), except estate zoning of one (1) acre or more.

Temporary Roll off Dumpsters:
Allowed with a no fee permit for a 15- day period only.  Must be parked on the street and not on driveway as not to disturb our right of way (sidewalk).
